Welcome to the website of Jacky (Jacqueline) Cowdrey.

 

My love of drawing started at school, beginning a lifelong fascination with the human form. I went onto study Fine Art and Illustration at Twickenham College, receiving a thorough grounding in life drawing and oil painting, and developing my love of colour.

 

I am Publicity and Exhibitions Secretary of the Dorking Group of Artists with whom I exhibit twice a year, and a member of the North Weald Art Group, winning the John Yardley Award at their exhibition at Denbies in November 2019 for my painting 'Ole'. I was also runner-up in the Caran d’Ache Museum Aquarelle watercolour pencil competition. My home is near Epsom and Reigate in Surrey, where I have my own studio - and where I've hosted Surrey Open Studios and exhibitions in aid of The Samaritans with other artists and photographers.

I hold regular classes in my studio.
